The Sportshut is a family-run business that officially opened its doors

on 20th April 2013, thanks to the vision of the late Dr. Syd Millar CBE.

In May 2021, the business was taken over by Mark and Jennifer

Mather, who have worked tirelessly to expand from humble

beginnings as an indoor 3G football pitch to one of County Antrim’s

premier event venues.

We cater to all age groups, from 5 to 75, in our indoor arena. With a

roof over your head, our pitch remains playable in even the harshest

weather conditions—no more cancellations here!

Our facility serves everyone, from local youth football teams and

Ballymena Saturday Morning League players to more experienced

“Back In The Game” footballers. We pride ourselves on providing a

space for every level of play.

In addition to football, The Sportshut offers a wide range of services,

including weekend birthday party packages, half-term camps, and

extracurricular activities such as BB outings, team bonding, stag/hen

parties, and church groups.

Since taking ownership in 2021, our birthday party packages have

grown in popularity, with over 200 children attending every weekend.

We place great importance on providing a personal touch, ensuring

that both parents and children have a memorable and enjoyable

experience.
